About our Camps

A World Class Wrestling Program
We have offered our program for 29 consecutive years. This will mark our 30th consecutive year.
Our programs are offered at Boston University.
In addition to the full-length 19-day camp, we offer 5-day, 7-day and 12-day camps. We also offer the best Team Competition Camp in the world. Each program has a specific design. Our permanent staff has invested thousands of hours into molding each program into the best possible wrestling experience a camper can have. Our system insures that a maximum amount of learning will take place. The structure of each session is woven into the session before it and the session that will come after it. You will find continuity and a constant reinforcement of what our students are being taught.

World Class Staff
Further, you will not find a staff that is more accomplished or a staff that is more specifically trained to implement the programs that we offer. Take a look at our expert staff and the student counselors who will be at the camp.
Customized Instruction
Each of our camps is offered in a Primary Format as well as an Intensive Format. Our programs accommodate the most elite wrestlers in the country as well as the beginners, intermediate and advanced students. Each design has a specific purpose. You can find complete information on our Intensive and Primary formats at, http://carladams.com/wrestling-camps/intensive-format and http://carladams.com/wrestling-camps/primary-format.
We know that our students are going to learn a great deal of wrestling. We also want campers, parents and coaches to also know that our first priority is to make sure that we provide the safest camp possible. To learn more, please read my letter to Campers, Parents and Coaches.
What separates our program from others on the market?
No other wrestling camp offers as many special features as we do. Further, we feel that no other wrestling camp has put in as many hours designing programs that maximize learning.
Our philosophy is to work with each student individually as much as possible. We know that the one-on-one work pays off within a camp setting. One of the ways we cater to individuals is with our Evaluation Process. Our 5, 7, and 12 day students receive an evaluation form before arriving at camp. This gives us an opportunity to find out as much as possible about each camper before he or she arrives at camp. It also allows us to recommend the best program fit for each camper.
We were the first to implement this specific evaluation process. A few other camps have tried to copy our system, but no other camp is as thorough as we are with this process. We feel that the evaluation process is a big part of our program. It allows us to do so much more with each individual camper. From this process, we identify specific techniques from each of the three wrestling positions for our campers to concentrate on during their stay. We teach the campers how to drill the techniques and we also make sure that the campers are performing the skills properly. I believe, this is the reason you will hear so many campers talk about how much they have improve at our camp.
How wrestlers coaches and parents feel about our programs...
You can read some of our recent unsolicited testimonials by on the Camp Documents page. I feel that these testimonials will give you an accurate picture of how wrestlers, parents and coaches feel about our program.
We also have a specific system for teaching various wrestling skills to our students. Each one of our permanent staff members is personally trained to teach the system of skills that we offer. We actually conduct nightly meetings to make sure that skills are being properly taught. Each one of our 12-day students will also receive our World Class Wrestling Manual. This 160 page Manual was written specifically for our camp system. It covers all aspects of wrestling. In fact, it is one of the most popular instructional Manuals for wrestling. All of our students also receive instructional wrestling tapes to take home. Our goal here is to insure that improving wrestling skills continue to happen long after camp is over. Go to our benefits section to find out more about The World Class Wrestling Manual.
We also offer the most intense and fun camp competition you will find at any camp. Of course, there are live wrestling sessions strategically placed throughout all of our sessions, however, for our 7, and 12-day students, we offer what we call our 12-Day Duels. All of our students will be put on a team. These students will be a combination of students from our 7, and 12 day students. The teams will be evenly matched because there will be a draft system to put each team together. Each team will prepare for a full three sessions with a team coach. These sessions will consist of instructional as well as training sessions. The coach will also coach the team for all of the duels. At our Boston site, teams have wrestled in as many as 6 duel meets in one day. We finish off the competition by naming a team champion. Each match is three one-minute periods. For the 5 day campers, the competition is more suited to their length of stay any level of experience.
S.A.T. Prep Lessons for 7-Day, 12 Day and 19-Day Students
Another unique feature of our program, are the S.A.T. Prep classes that we offer for our 7, 12 and 19-day students. We feel that and educational component adds a lot to our camp. It does two things. It helps students prepare for the achievement test that they may have to take during the school year and it sends a clear message about the importance of their education. The Prep classes do not interfere with any wrestling time and there is no additional fee. Please see our benefits section for complete information.
I hope this information has been helpful to you. You can also click on our video presentation to see a great visual presentation of what actually happens at camp. The video may take a little time to load, but it will be worth the wait.
