We offer one of the best wrestling camps available

This is the 31st annual year for our wrestling camp and I want to tell you why I feel we offer the best wrestling camp available. I will comment on this topic with my blog over the next couple months. I will also offer advice on how you can be at your best during this part of your season.
First, we have always looked for ways to improve our camp design and the different options that we offer. We offer programs for beginners, intermediate and advanced students. We also have an intensive component for the most serious students.
Each program is designed to maximize each campers learning experience. We invite you to take a good look at each one of the programs that we offer. We offer 5-day, 7-day, 12-day and a 19 day program.
Today's advise is to take a good look at your best performance this season. It was probably a performance that you were quite satisfied with. That is great. What if I told you that you were at least 20-30 percent better than that performance on your best day.
I have been involved in the sport for 47 years and have coached at the division one college level for the past 37 years. I have also worked with over 50,000 young wrestlers over my career. I have had an opportunity to see many individual transformations over my career.
I will give you a quick example. About 3 years ago, we had a wrestler who was very good, but ultimately, he never became an NCAA All American. However, there was one particular weekend when he found that extra 20-30 percent of his ability to excel. He went into the Southern Scuffle tournament unseeded. In the second round, he defeated Darion Caldwell in his second match. Caldwell was the MVP at last year's division one national tournament. He also defeated two other nationally ranked wrestlers on his way to the finals. He met yet another defending national champion in the finals. Dustin Slatter was widely considered the best wrestler at any weight. Mike Roberts defeated Slatter as well. In a tournament that showcased over 400 wrestlers, Mike Roberts was named the Tournament MVP.
Mike’s performance was done over a two day period and for 5 matches. This shows that great performances are sustainable and that they can be consistent.
It is your time to find that extra 20-30 percent each time you take the mat.
